Built-in Kitchen Wardrobe Detailing
TODAY'S exercise is about detailing a built-in furniture with dimension, specification and blow-up structure. As for our furniture, we have selected a built-in kitchen wardrobe in one of our friend's house.
After confirming our furniture, we assigned each of us with different task and work together as a team. By doing this, things will be more organised and effective, in fact, this is the first time we're doing detailing drawing for a built-in furniture.

After completed the whole assignment, I realised a few things which are really important in detailing drawing. First, the application of line weight has to be precise in order to differentiate the level of depthness in the furniture or layout plan. Do not take for granted in any small structure or mechanism for a furniture detailing drawing because your client and contractor need to fully understand how your product works. Another important note is that every hidden parts or objects in a furniture have to be drawn using a dotted line. Just because we can't see the hidden objects, doesn't mean that it didn't exist. As an architect, we need to precisely listed out every parts of the product or layout plan to avoid any misunderstanding among our clients.
Well, those are some learning outcome of mine for this particular exercises.
We did quite okay for the first time, great team chemistry, hand in on time.
But, we still got a long way to go.

Detailing Adjustable Office Chair
ON this episode of Nicky's detailing drawing, I was instructed to conduct a basic detailing work for an adjustable office chair which can be found in my classroom.
And we need to roughly obtain the dimension of the chair, sketch out some different angle, some blow up details, and also specification of the important parts.
To sum it up
This chair has a few parts which involved pretty complicated mechanism.
Such as the hydraulic adjustable tilt and the foot stand system.
But anyway, I managed to roughly draw it out and analysed the materials used in those parts.
Well, I can say that is a pretty good exercises for me and it allows me to understand more about the mechanism of a furniture which I have taken for granted up until now.
Anyway, good try and also thanks to my group members for contributing in this task.

MEMO BOOK COVER
Back cover |
This task is about designing our own memo book with any medium or style you want it to be. And yes, it is a pretty easy work to do and somehow quite entertaining.
Front cover |
For my case, I decided to use negative and positive effect to decorate my book cover with some facial gesture of a man and a woman.
It is quite easy to do it and only took me 15 minutes to complete it
So this is the whole picture of my notebook.
Nothing much to say about it but just warming up for the upcoming hardcore assignment.
PEACE~~
